KCET 2019 Counselling|Dates, Procedure and Helpline Centres


Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will organize the KCET 2019 Counselling for qualified applicants of the examination. The counselling process is expected to commence from the second week of June, 2019.  Seats will be allotted to aspirants who will take part in the Counselling of KCET 2019. The counselling process comprises of various steps that are registration, document verification, choice filling, allotment of seats and payment of fees. Applicants are advised to carry their original documents as well as their hard copies along with them at the time of counselling. The authority will also conduct a Mock Allotment in order to provide knowledge about the allotment process of KCET 2019. The entrance examination will be held in the third week of April, 2019.

Procedure of KCET 2019 Counselling

Applicants taking part in the KCET Counselling 2019 have to go through a stepwise procedure which is elaborated below in detail:
Step 1 – Verification of Documents
Candidates have to be present at the allocated counselling centres for verification of their documents as per the release schedule.  For this applicants are advised to carry their original documents. A verification slip will be received by applicants after successful document verification along with a unique ID and password.
Step 2 – Registration
Applicants need to register at the helpline centres so the Karnataka Examination Authority advises applicants to visit the nearest helpline centre before the given deadline.
Step 3 – Choice Filling
The candidate can fill choices of course and colleges as per their preference and interest. Applicants can fill their choices after login using their CET application number. The choice of filling should be in the order of priority. Candidates are advised to fill the maximum number of choices in order to get admission in the desired institute under the preferred course.

Step 4 – Locking of filled choices
After filling of preferred choices, candidates must lock them before the last date. If applicants do not lock their choices filled then the authority will lock previously filled choices automatically. Modifications can be made within the allotted time.
Step 5 – Allotment of Seats
Karnataka Examination authority will conduct the Mock Allotment to let applicants know about the allotment status and process. The mock allotment will be conducted in the third week of July, 2019. Applicants can also modify the choices filled after mock allotment. The seat allotment will be released in the third week of July, 2019 as well. The allotment will be based on various factors such as rank secured, choices filled, availability of seats and category. There will be two rounds of seat allotment process in addition to the Second Extended Round. Aspirants can log in into their account to download the seat allotment letter.
Step 6 – Reporting at the Allotted Institute 
As the last step of KCET 2019 Counselling, the shortlisted applicants need to report at the allotted institute to confirm their admission. Applicants are advised to carry the required documents along with the seat allotment letter in the institute. Payment of the required fee also has to be made to confirm the allotment.
